This is my first article . Thank you for being lenient... I am not Baudelaire... nor a stylist for that matter, nor an image consultant, nor even a fashion designer! I am often asked for fashion advice, whether in stores or on Instagram, and I admit that this request makes me laugh a lot, because I don't feel justified in advising anyone on style (not even those around me). ). I think that the best outfit is always the one in which you feel good , comfortable and above all the one in which you feel like yourself. I don't want to impose my style or pretend to know how to dress (as you know, 90% of the time I'm jogging haha).
But if I decided to start writing and especially researching and creating images , it is because it is very good to ask people to change their mode of consumption, their habits, to forget their favorite brands forever... but it's not always easy to find alternatives to fast fashion ...
I would say even before that, that it is not always easy to feel good about yourself, to find clothes that fit your size, within your budget, that you like and that are trendy. Personally, I grew up with Zara, Bershka, and all their friends, and I know how tempted we are by these brands. I know how good they are at what they offer. Everything makes you want it. Everything is accessible. Everything changes all the time, the temptation is so strong...
It's a big challenge for many to decide to say NO to these brands in order to turn to more responsible brands ... and again you have to find brands that are truly responsible, stylish and not overpriced. Fortunately there are more and more small designers, ethical brands and of course thrift stores . But I can understand that when everything has been presented to us in an aesthetic and fluid way, it is not always pleasant to rummage through thrift stores or spend hours scouring Google to find ethical nuggets . But if you are here, it is because you have a great conscience and that is already enormous!

My goal since I launched Fripsquare has been to make your second-hand shopping easier . I search and select the clothes, then highlight them using photos/videos, so you don't have to dig through bins and wonder which of the 50 vintage shirts you prefer. When we see the outfit worn we immediately know what suits us or not. We better perceive the colors and patterns that attract us.

Once you have a crush on a piece, it's important to ask yourself whether or not you'll be able to wear it for a long time . Well, since thrift stores very often sell excellent quality clothing that lasts a lifetime and is made from materials that don't move in the wash, you already have that less to worry about. And as fashion is a cycle and all pieces from the 40s to the 2000s come back into fashion for a while, you know that over the years you will wear the same piece but differently (adjusting looks like our sneakers and our hairstyles which evolve For example).
But how do you adjust/wear a vintage piece in keeping with the times? Before buying, you need to be sure that you can wear the piece in different ways (so that those who make comments like "didn't you already wear this skirt for Julie's birthday" shut up).
And that's why I decided to publish little inspiring articles from time to time (I'll try at least) on different ways of wearing vintage clothing. I also want to show people that it is possible to create 100% second-hand looks that are trendy . (well if you already wear a second-hand piece in your outfit we're on the right path! We don't put any pressure on ourselves, apart from the fact that the earth is burning..)
There you go! Let's start with vintage t-shirts/American t-shirts! THE BASE ! I think it's really been fashionable since I was little. Brief. You can wear them in home fashion, in sports mode as you surely know how to do (LOL) but also on a turtleneck, with shorts, jogging pants, pants, a skirt or under a little dress with straps. With heels, sneakers, ankle boots, sandals, etc. In winter under a down jacket, in summer over a swimsuit or under a denim jacket, at work under a blazer... in fact the vintage t-shirt can be worn really with EVERYTHING . (and yes I started with an easy one! I could have just put the images I think.. ahaha)

That's all for today, thanks for reading this far. If you are here, it is because you are doing your best to improve your consumption and this poor little planet, so thank you. You shine!
